Each summer a group of volunteers chooses a site and plans a week of work at a mission site in the US. Funds for the trip, food and construction supplies are raised over the school year preceding the summer trip. If you are interested in going on a Mission Trip, contact the church office at 653-5446 or

The United Methodist Church of Washington collected materials for 145 flood buckets. In conjunction with Family of Christ ecumenical ministries, Jon Coon, the community of Washington has given away 145 buckets to Oakville, Cedar Rapids and Waterloo/Cedar Falls churches and individuals of many denominations and to those with no church affiliation.
