We are very excited about coming together again to learn our Fall and Winter Series! Pennie Brinning and Nicole Peterson will once again be leading our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Graders through the Sunday School Year here at WUMC and welcome your children to their class! Module 1: Kids All Around Me

Scripture: Luke 18:9-14

Bible Point: God’s Approval Matters Most

Bible Verse: “Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were any good, I would not be Christ’s servant.” – Galatians 1:10

Discussion Starters: *Do you think Liddell did the right thing? Why or Why Not?

*How much of a risk would you take to stand up for something you believe in? Would you ever risk your life?

*How should you respond when you feel you must take a stand for something that others disagree with?

*Brainstorm ways you can stand up for your beliefs at school or at work even though your choices may be unpopular with some.

Bible Point: Fads Come And Go, But Our Relationship With Jesus Lasts Forever

*What unique characteristics do you see in your own personality or in each other’s personalities? What do you have to contribute to the world that is unique?

*Think of a time you left someone out? What could you do to help that person feel included in the future?

*What is your goal for your schoolwork? How are you going to reach that goal?

*How do you think your life would change if you always worked, “as though you were working for the Lord”?

*Think of a time you’ve been tempted to cheat. What kept you from doing it? What do you think would have happened if you had cheated?

Discussion Starters: *Think of a time you had too many things you wanted to do and not enough time to do them all. How did you decide which things to do and which things not to do? How can you best determine what’s really important in your life?
