A huge round of applause and great thanks for your response in putting together kits for Haiti!!!
The truck carrying Nebraska's kits arrived a little after 4:30 pm yesterday and was able to take everything that Iowa collected and brought to Epworth UMC. Please remember to pray for safe travels for the driver who has donated his time to get our kits to UMCOR Sager Brown.
Yesterday alone, Iowa sent: 4,331 Health Kits 146 Layette Kits 50 School Bags + miscellaneous items such as extra band aids, wash cloths, etc.
Please watch for more updates to follow. God Bless You for your generosity! Great thanks to Upworth UMC, Des Moines for allowing the kits to be collected there. |

ELEVATOR FUND
Many of our members and attenders use the elevator to attend worship, dinners, meetings and concerts. The community members also use our elevator for weddings, funerals, concerts, dinners and more.
By July of 2010 a major repair must be made to continue using our elevator. The State of Iowa inspectors have explained this to the Trustees. If you are able to help pay for the repair to the hydraulic system, please mark your gift "ELEVATOR" and place it in the offering plate or bring to the office. Thank you for your help with keeping the elevator in good working order.
Contact Steve Stender, Trustee Chairperson, with questions. |
